Maryland motorcycle accident leaves two injured

Carroll County Times reported that a Maryland motorcycle accident caused two people to receive injuries.

According to officials, the driver had intentionally caused the Maryland motorcycle accident to keep from hitting farm equipment.

Emergency helicopters rushed to the scene of the Maryland auto accident.

The motorcycle driver and his passenger were taken to a hospital. The passenger was sent to the hospital in critical condition, but the driver was sent in serious condition.

The Maryland motorcycle crash is under investigation.

Virginia man injured in blast

April 24, 2008

Daily Progress reported that a man had received Virginia fire and burn injuries while fighting a Virginia fire. The man had combated the 600-acre brush fire with a bulldozer. While trying to control the Virginia fire, the wind blew the flames toward his direction.

The man received extensive Virginia burn injuries from the fire, which included third-degree burns to his hands and second-degree burns to his neck, thighs, and chest.

He is receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at the University of Virginia Medical Center.

Virginia fire leaves one in critical condition

A Virginia fire accident has sent two people to the hospital, one was in critical condition, according to The Virginian-Pilot.

The Virginia fire had occurred accidentally. The Virginia fire accident spread quickly because the house was fueled by propane heat and contained shotgun ammunition which aided in the spread of the fire.  Also, firefighters had to use water tankers to extinguish the flames.

An ambulance driver at the fire accident was sent to the hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation and Virginia fire and burn injuries

Virginia Athlete sidelined due to injury

April 15, 2008

The Roanoke Times reported that Virginia Tech’s potential starting tailback for the opening season has been sidelined with a Virginia athletic injury.

The athlete will have surgery on his left shoulder on Tuesday. The Virginia athletic injury will sideline the starting tailback candidate for four to six months.

If the Virginia athlete can return to the Virginia Tech team in four months then he would be able to play in Mid-August. However, if he returns in six months then his Virginia athletic injury would keep him out until mid-season.

Six-count Maryland wrongful death suit filed against State Police

The Daily Record reported that a Maryland family filed a federal lawsuit in U.S. District Court against the Maryland State Police.

In the suit, the family allegedly charges the Maryland State Police with a six-count Maryland wrongful death and survival claim.

The charges stem from the Maryland State Police’s involvement in the death of a construction worker.

From the Maryland wrongful death suit, the family seeks $10 million in compensatory damages and an additional $10 million in punitive damages.

$45K in fire damages from accident; No Maryland fire and burn injuries reported

April 8, 2008 

On Friday morning, about 45 firefighters responded to a house fire in Maryland, according to Gazette.net. It took the firefighters about 20 minutes to control the fire. 

The firefighters had rushed to the scene after a passerby reported seeing smoke coming out of the house

The single-story house was undergoing renovations and was unoccupied during the incident and there were no Maryland fire and burn injuries.

Maryland fire investigators believe that the house fire was a result of electrical wiring in the kitchen. 

The accident caused about $45,000 in Maryland fire and burn damages to the house.
