Motorcycle accident leaves Maryland man dead

A man is dead after his motorcycle hit a car.

According to an article from The Baltimore Sun, a 20-year-old Maryland man was pronounced dead after his 2009 Yamaha motorcycle hit a 2010 Toyota Corolla.

Witnesses told police the 20-year-old had been speeding and passing cars in a no-passing zone on Joppa Farm Road.

Car catches fire, traps family in Washington, D.C.

A multi-vehicle collision on the 3600 block of Alabama Avenue in Washington, D.C., has left one woman dead and six people seriously injured.

According to a report from wjla.com, one of the Washington, D.C., cars was on fire and at least one person was trapped. Four children in a Toyota Camry suffered serious injuries.

School bus involved in accident in Washington D.C.

A small school bus was involved in an accident with three other cars in Northwest Washington D.C.

According to a WJLA ABC 7 article, rescue crews evaluated three of the school bus’s passengers.

Washington D.C. fire department spokesman Pete Piringer said there didn’t appear to be any serious injuries, the article said.

Girl survives pit bull attack in Washington, D.C.

A 12-year-old girl was attacked by a pit bull when walking with a friend in Washington, D.C., WTTG-Fox 5 reports.

A nurse who lived close by helped the girl until an ambulance arrived and took her to Children’s Hospital. Washington, D.C., police and animal control captured the dog.

The girl is at home recovering with several stitches and a swollen cheek.

Washington, D.C., animal control impounded the pit bull and they have tracked down its owner. If an investigation finds the dog is dangerous, it could be euthanized.
