Two firefighters were killed in a Virginia auto accident on their way to a house fire, according to CNN.com.

A car struck the fire truck, causing it to flip three times and strike another car in the Virginia auto accident. Two men were thrown from the truck and died.

Group proposes cut in Virginia workers’ compensation

According to TimesDispatch.com, a group that determines base rates for the coverage of Virginia workers’ compensation is proposing a 12.4 percent cut in base rates for most employers.

The National Council on Compensation Insurance is proposing a 41.1 percent cut in Virginia workers’ compensation for high-risk employers. Its proposal is subject to review and appeal by the State Corporation Commission.

Player awarded Washington D.C. workers’ compensation

A former Capitals defenseman has been awarded Washington D.C. worker’s compensation and disability payments, according to WashingtonExaminer.com.

The District’s Department of Employment Services granted the player the coverage, but the Capitals contested it on the premise that Washington D.C. law requires the injury to have taken place within city limits for Washington D.C. workers’ compensation to be awarded.
